One of my favorite history podcasts, BackStory, selected my book Cork Wars for its monthly book club, BookStory. So the other day I joined the LiveStream discussion, moderated by Gabriel Hunter-Chang. Our conversation covered the historical historical context of World War II and why cork would get embroiled in national security. And we considered questions involved in presenting people’s experiences during their time.
Gabriel probed several themes in the book, and we talked about some of the challenges of presenting multi-character stories. We also explored some of the questions submitted on the group’s Facebook page. Watch the discussion on Youtube here.
Then tell me what you think. Do you have questions that didn’t get covered in the discussion? I’d love to hear them.
And if you’re interested in setting up a book club discussion of your own, please contact me via the About page and let me know.
